Le parc Claude Moore

The triptych comprised of double exposures — La prairie, Les fleurs, and L'arbre — presents a complementary set of images of different but related scenes that form a distinct work of art. Claude Moore Park in Sterling, Virginia is a special and treasured subject. During late summer, the grounds are aglow in golden Coreopsis. Located within Claude Moore Park is 18th century Lanesville Historic District and Vestal's Gap Road that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. During the colonial period, the road connected Alexandria and Shenandoah, and was used by General Braddock's army under George Washington during the French and Indian War.
