Hockett's “Somersaults” was selected in the abstract category for the last stage of the Creative Photo Awards judging process.

Somersaults, a colorful depiction of fan-like circular forms turning and tumbling in constant motion, travel up and down and side to side in every direction. Saturated colors interspersed with neutrals and object layering adds depth, fullness, and volume. The work communicates energy and playfulness as it typifies the spirit of children.
