Amor

Charged with creating a fitting exhibit for the United States Geological Survey, Hockett’s “Amor" is an artistic representation of Peruvian rhodochrosite. The image — a manipulation of a photograph of a cut and polished stone — possesses organic beauty originating from stalactite and stalagmite formation.

The piece will be on display at the United States Geological Survey’s Long Gallery in Reston, VA from May 1 through May 31, 2018.
