“Green Sound” Juried Into Joseph Miller Abstract Photography Exhibit
“Green Sound” presents a fluid wave merging a simple, repeating device pattern with a lush green color wash. It shows two planes, one colorful and one patterned, with ambiguous depths. These contrasting textures represent an interplay of the organic and the man-made — the artistic conflict of nature versus machine, the pure or the processed. Famously, Pollock took one side and Warhol took another. Here, a choice needn’t be made.
The work was juried into the 8th Annual Joseph Miller Abstract Photography Exhibit and will be on display at the Joseph Miller Center for the Photographic Arts in Gainesville, VA from Saturday, May 5 through Monday, May 28, 2018.
