“Silk Mill Tags” Wins Honorable Mention and Monetary Prize in ArtSpace Herndon Fine Art Photography Competition and Exhibit

Hockett’s “Silk Mill Tags” was awarded an Honorable Mention and a monetary prize by judge Carla Steckley at ArtSpace Herndon’s 8th Annual Fine Art Photography Competition and Exhibit.

The image shows a foregone method of accounting for the manufacture of silk yarn at the Lonaconing Silk Mill, which operated from 1907 until 1957 in Western Maryland.

The framed 23”x29” digital image on Hahnemühle art paper will be on display and available for purchase until Saturday, March 11 at 750 Center Street, Herndon, VA, 20170.
